Jerrod's 3!

My little boy has turned 3! Time really goes by so fast. Jerrod is such a great little boy and is growing and learning so much every day. He is our little athlete. He loves to run around, play ball, and ride his bike. He also has a very competive spirit. We know he will go far in whatever he chooses to do.

So on the 22nd, his birthday we were up at my dad's in Gig Harbor. He took us over to the Tacoma Chuck-E-Cheeses for his birthday. The boys had a blast. Here is Drew and Jerrod with the cake they got. Jerrod wanted a football cake and the lady at Albertson's was very accommodating to a last minute cake request.
Here he is with my dad showing his age. He was having a hard time understanding that he was a year older. He finally got it a little bit better when I told him it was his magic age where he grew a year older. He was cute arguing that he was still two.
Drew gave him his present there. Adam and I got him a new bike that was at home in Salt Lake and we wanted him to get a present on his birthday. Drew gets an allowance and part of his responsibility with it is to buy his own presents for people, so Drew picked this out and paid for it with his own money.
On Sunday night we had a party at the community center here at the village. We had our family in Utah there as well as our good friends the Winnettes. Here is the "kids" table, they had fun together.
Jerrod blowing out his candles. He hasn't mastered the blowing part and gave the cake a sprinkling of spit to go with our cake. Ewwwww!
Here he is again showing his age, nope he's not 6, he just gets excited that he can show 3 with two hands!
Here he is opening his presents. All the boys wanted to help.
And here he is on his new Specialized bike. He does awesome on it and we are so excited to watch him ride and having fun. Luckily the weather has started warming up and he can ride it! He even took a good fall today and skinned his elbow. Thank goodness for helmets, who knows when he's going to push the limits a little more and get a good fall in.
