Blessing!

On the third we blessed our sweet little boy Gideon. It was incredible. Adam did such a good job. He is such a great dad. He said that during the blessing Gideon woke up, he had been sleeping, and looked him straight in the eye during it. How need. What a great thing for him to share with his son.

After sacrament we had everyone over the the community center in the village where we live. It was nice to spend time with friends and family. Unfortunately they only have lovely cinder block walls as background to the pictures, but here they are.

This was the best family picture we could get, Jerrod kept sticking his tongue out, the little stinker.
Gideon and his proud parents.

Here is my mom and Garry. We have a hard time getting a smile out of Garry for a picture, and no he is not always so serious. I need to get a candid shot of him laughing at our silly boys, which happens quite frequently.

Here is Joy, Adam's mom, with Gideon. For some reason she is only blessed with grandsons. There are now 6 boys on the Vester side. Not that we are helping any. . .
Here are some table shots, not the best, and by the time I got to taking them some people have already left, sorry. Here is my mom, Garry, and Erek and Lisa showing off their sweet baby girl.
Carly, Kylie, and my dad and his wife Carrie. Carly sorry you're nursing, it was the only shot I got.
The kids were so funny! They were running around playing red light-green light, having races, and climbing on the walls. It was fun to watch them. The only problem was that the boys are so used to rough housing together they forget to be gentle and soft with little Bethany and Hannah, who are not used to being manhandled like that.
Here is my dad saying by to Gideon. We sure enjoyed having him there. He was not at the other boy's blessing so this one was extra special.
We didn't get all of the grandkids the previous nigh with my dad so we got this shot before they left for the airport. Rylan didn't want to have anything to do with it so we got a bonus of having Carly in the picture too.
Overall it was such a great day and we loved spending it with people who we love!
