They helped wrap up all of the presents, clothes and put together a bunch of food for them. Here they are before we went to deliever the goodies. Unfortunately the family wasn't home when we dropped them off but we left them on the door. The mom was so cute and called us to thank us, and called again on Christmas to tell the boys how much her children loved and appreciated the gifts as well as a wonderful thank you card that we will always keep as a reminder of such a sweet memory. We hope to turn this into a tradition and by giving we can keep the focus of Christmas on our Savior.

Sub for Santa
This year we talked with our kids about how blessed we were, and how many families have much less then we did. In talking about it we talked about what we could do to help and proposed different options, and the one they decided on was to do a sub for santa for a family. this was done with the money we would have spent on them, so as a result they sacrificed their Christmas for someone else. They are such great kids! We had the opportunity to help a family from Jerrod's head start (they go a different time) and the boys went and shopped for them. It was so cute, each day Drew would come home from school and ask if I had talked to the boys mom's to find out what they liked so we could go shopping.

That was a wonderful idea. We are always the recipients of Secret Santa and are very blessed as well. I always try to teach the kids the real meaning for Christmas. I'm going to do this next year. Thanks for being an example. Love ya
